Async Assembly Line
Welcome to the Robot Foundry 🤖 — where robot parts arrive on a conveyor belt! Some parts come INSTANTLY. Others take TIME to arrive — you have to WAIT. In JavaScript, we use async and await to handle this waiting game gracefully. Build your robot piece by piece while managing the flow of arriving parts!

🎯 Today's Concept: Async Assembly Line

Imagine ordering pizza delivery. You don't just STARVE while waiting — you do other things and check back when the pizza arrives. JavaScript's async/await works the same way!

async means "this function takes time." await means "wait here until this arrives." While waiting, your code can do other things!

At the Robot Foundry, we'll build parts that arrive on a conveyor belt — some fast, some slow. We'll use setTimeout to simulate waiting, and Promise to represent "this thing will arrive eventually."

You Built a Robot!
The Robot Foundry is impressed! Your robot is fully assembled using async operations — handling parts that arrive at different times. You've mastered the waiting game of JavaScript!

💫 What You Learned

  • async functions can "wait" — they pause while waiting for things to finish
  • await tells JavaScript to pause HERE until this Promise resolves
  • A Promise is like a delivery ticket — it says "this will arrive eventually"
  • setTimeout creates a delay — perfect for simulating waiting in JavaScript
  • While waiting, your code can do OTHER things — it doesn't freeze!
